Four-axle hopper cars made by the German State Railroad Company (DRG)
type OOt Saarbrücken / Erz IId (later designation OOtz 43). These
hopper cars were used to transport iron ore and coal. The cars entered
service in 1943. I have painted the hopper cars in period colours, red
oxide primer and olive green primer. The cars are loaded with real coal
and look as they did around 1944. Unlike other designs the OOtz 43
discharges its load by opening the lower side doors dropping the load
into bunkers either side of the rail line on which it runs.
These railway wagons are perfect for the gamer who is tired of
looking at empty railway lines and sidings, and who wants to add a more
lived in feel to their battlefields. These railway trucks, filled with
real coal are perfect for adding life and detail to games of Flames of
War or Team Yankee.
These two railway cars are fully compatible with Battlefront
railway track. They are printed in environmentally friendly PLA
plastic. The models have been pre-assembled and painted in period
colours and are suitable for eastern or western front battles.
Alternatively, you can assemble and paint your own (I'll even provide
the coal) or choose to select the 3D printer STL option so you can
print your own at home.
